See a stage show
If you are a lover of theatre like me, you know there isn’t anything like a stage performance. Unfortunately, COVID-19 can get in the way of attending a show. Instead, check out Broadway HD and Marquee, apps that offer a free trial before charging a monthly rate.
Go to the opera
Like theatre, the opera–performing arts in general–gets tricky in this new age of ours. Instead of going out, the opera now comes directly to you! This weekend, see:
- Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, performed by the Metropolitan Opera
- Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, performed by the Bavarian State Opera
- Rossini’s La cenerentola (Saturday), and
- Wagner’s Siegfried (Sunday), performed by the Vienna State Opera
Check out a museum
Museums around the world have, due to the growth of the Internet, digitized their entire collections for the public to enjoy. In the age of COVID-19, that’s incredibly helpful. Here are just some of the museums you can check out, for free, anytime:
