Student Life Spring Break Primer (Mar 28-Apr 5)

Well… this is shaping up to be an interesting Spring Break. If you’re stuck inside (like over one billion people on the planet), you may be starting to get a little stir crazy. If you find yourself suffering from massive boredom over Spring Break, here are some things to pass the time…

Books, books, books

One of the biggest barriers to casual, just-for-fun reading is the perception we don’t have any time. Well… that’s not much of an issue now! For free reads you can access online, visit the HathiTrust Digital Library. And if you’re borrowing or purchasing your own, there are plenty of pandemic and non-pandemic related reads we’d recommend!

Catch a livestream

Planning on seeing a concert over Spring Break? Yeah, sorry about that. Fortunately, the act you were planning on seeing is also stuck inside! Dozens of musical artists, comedians, and other entertainers are planning livestreams for the next several weeks. Here’s one of the best guides we could find to stay in the loop.

Transform your space

Take spring cleaning to the next level by not just cleaning, but reorganizing! Spring Break is a great time for any size of DIY home project, cleaning or otherwise. Take a look at Curbed’s guide to the best home projects if you need help getting started.

Write poetry with Tyler!

National Poetry Writing Month, created in the style of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), is a 30 day writing challenge spanning the month of April. The goal? Write one poem every day! We’ll be posting poetry throughout the month of April on the Virtual Campus, and be sure to visit the NaPoWriMo site for words of inspiration!
