Rising Star Project RadioActive Musical Festival

What do you get when you take four captivating stories created by teen radio producers, let another team of teens adapt them into original musicals, and bring in even more teens to remotely direct, produce, and perform these new musicals—during a pandemic? On Friday, May 8, and Saturday, May 9, the 5th Avenue Theatre’s Rising Star Project, in collaboration with KUOW Public Radio‘s RadioActive Youth Media, will present a two-day festival of new 10-minute musicals via Facebook Live. 6th Annual Chicago Jazz String Summit

Renegade Craft Virtual Fair

Feeling like you need some crafts in your life? Wanna see what’s out there? Check out the Renegade Craft Virtual Fair on Saturday from 10 a.m. – Noon PST. Attendance is free, and visitors will have a chance to check out each vendor’s social media and web presence and access a 1:1 portal with the vendor themselves. For everyone needing a good craft fair in their quarantine life!

Translations: Seattle’s Transgender Film Festival

Translations: Seattle Transgender Online Film Festival is a groundbreaking film festival that provides the Pacific Northwest with a venue for films by, for, and about transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse people and the issues facing the community. Launched in 2006, Translations is one of only a few transgender film festivals in the world and places emphasis on visibility and positive representations.
