Global Opportunities at NUNM World’s Fair

The Annual World’s Fair hosted by NUNM’s Global Health Club is just around the corner! This is a great opportunity for students and faculty to get a better understanding of the global opportunities, including travel courses, that NUNM offers. The World’s Fair takes place on Jan 29th, 2020 from 11AM-1PM in the student lounge. Stop by for a chat and a nibble (yes… we will have food!) If you have any questions, please email IPSL Global Institute at NUNM: djjohnson@nunm.edu

Scholar’s Hour: Stone Therapy with Ken Glowacki

Stones and stone therapy: A Chinese medical approach to these keepers of time

Life began on this rocky planet, third from the sun.  Life evolved and took many forms.  What has remained constant is that we live on a rocky planet.  Stones and gems are witnesses to the history of the earth.  We will learn the basics of how Chinese medicine has used stones.  We will discuss the types of stones, how they are organized and how they can be used by humans and in spaces around us.  We will use the concept of the 9 palaces that are common to all people and how we come to live out our lives.  How can these witnesses of the history of the earth resonate with each one of us?

Who:  Ken Glowacki, DACM, L.Ac.

Where: NUNM, Room 322
