Student Life Happenings (Week 4)

COMING SOON: NUNM Art Wall!

Students, faculty and staff are invited to enter their names to showcase the talent and creativity of our community. Submissions can cover a variety of media, including:

Water color | Poetry | Acrylic Painting |Oil Painting| Crayon| Chalk | Glasswork | Pastel | Charcoal | Pen/ink| Metalwork | Sketches | Jewelry | Ceramics | Photography | Masks | Dance | Mixed Media | Quilting | Collage | Body Painting | Cartooning | Marker | Screen Printing | and much more!

Criteria: Art must be displayable on a wall space approximately 4’x5’ & artist must include a short biography and photo. Artwork must be able to be displayed on suspended wire with a maximum weight of 20 lbs. Artwork must be appropriate for and respectful of all peoples. To Enter: stop by Student Life and drop your name in the Art Wall bucket. Applicants will be accepted on a continuous basis. Names will be randomly selected on the 20th of each month and their artwork dipslayed the following month. Names not selected will be kept in the bucket for future monthly drawings. Our first showcase will premiere in early November!

The Healing Impacts of Technology

The Anthroposophic Medicine Club is hosting Lisa Romero this Friday in a discussion on the Healing Impacts of Technology and Supporting the 12-Fold Sensory System. Lisa is a homeopathic practitioner and a worldwide educator, who’s work is enriched with Anthroposophic healing and philosophy. A renowned author and a director of multiple foundations, Lisa fosters personal and community health and development in the light of anthroposophy and Rudolph Steiner’s work across the globe. This is a free event where everyone is welcome!

ZRT Laboratory Sample Table

ZRT Laboratory offers a variety of hormone and neurotransmitter testing panels which analyze saliva, dried blood spot, dried urine, and serum. ZRT offers all 3rd and 4th year ND students one free test kit of your choice per school year and offers student pricing to all other levels of ND and Chinese Medicine students. Come check out the test kits for yourself, look through sample test result reports, and pick up some free ZRT swag!

Enrichment Scholarship NOW OPEN

The Enrichment scholarship is open and now accepting applications. If you attended an awesome conference or workshop and want to share it with your peers please check out the the Enrichment Scholarship application in the link above. Fall applications are due Friday November 1st, by Noon. There are always several applicants but only TWO winners will be chosen, and there is $500 on the line. If you have questions about the application process, OR if you would like to participate in deciding this quarter’s winners, please email me at Tara.Zwicker@student.nunm.edu. Winners will present at Enrichment Hour on Tuesday, November 19th at Noon. This event is catered by Elephants Delicatessen, sponsored by your Student Government Association.
