Student Life Happenings (Week 11)

Study Spaces–Coming Spring 2019

Starting Spring Quarter, six classrooms (201, 202, 203, 301, 302, and 321) will be designated “open study spaces” during the following times.

Classrooms can be used for large–or multiple–study groups while Small Group Discussion rooms will be quiet study spaces only. Feel free to use these rooms for studying, group/project work, and meetings–we only ask that you be respectful of others while using the space, and that any trash or mess left behind gets cleaned up. Enjoy your new study spaces!

Health at Every Size Panel

March is a month to talk about health at every size! Join us for a two-part presentation where experts in the field will discuss the topics of eating disorders and disordered eating, Health at Every Size, and intuitive eating.  The second panel will discuss how Health at Every Size (HAES) and intuitive eating philosophies can be put into practice. Recordings for both panels will be released next week. Friday March 22, 12-1:30 p.m., Room 310.

Club Events/Meetings

GLOBAL HEALTH CLUB MEETING: NUNM’s Global Health Club will be holding a meeting to discuss ideas and topics for the club moving forward into the Spring term. If there is time, there will be a brief discussion on the medical crisis that has been on-going in Venezuela. Hope to see you there! Friday, March 22, 11:30-12:30 in Room 202.

HYRDO + HEART TONES (NATUROPATHIC SOCIETY): Dr. Lori van der Heyt, ND, will guide us in this hands-on event discussing the nuances of heart tones and their application to naturopathic diagnoses. The workshop will also focus on understanding how hydrotherapy can be applied to correct tissue disturbances. Please bring your stethoscopes. Refreshments will be provided. Friday, March 22, 5:00 p.m., Room 302.
